Cinematexas Loop (2003)

While in graduate school at The University of Texas at Austin’s department of Radio-TV-Film, I was asked to join the staff of the Cinematexas International Short Film Festival. Specifically, I was needed there to produce a new “mini-festival” focused on the then-burgeoning intersection between video games and film.

I successfully programmed and produced three days’ worth of presentations and installations featuring creators and artists from around the country. The “Games Without Borders” mini-fest was a success, with appearances by Mark Dery, Katie Salen, and the team behind Red vs. Blue, to name a few.

I created this video loop as a piece of visual branding to play on screens in our festival venue between sessions.
