In Fall, 2001, I took
a graduate course in Advanced Documentary filmmaking. The result of the
semester's work was Signlanguage, which I directed, shot,
and cut with Rachel Proctor.
Signlanguage follows the artistic and artisanal practice of Evan Voyles,
an Austin, Texas-based fabricator of neon and figurative signage which is,
to say the least, unique.
