Ignite! Learning Middle School Math - Music Videos
As Director of International Production at Ignite! Learning , I served in a "Producer" role during much of the creation of the company's Middle School Math course. While this course consists of hundreds of excellent media pieces (animations, videos, and interactive media), my favorites were almost always the music videos. I believe strongly that the use of popular music as a teaching tool does more to engage young learners than almost any other approach. Music increases retention and serves as a built-in mnemonic device. Most importantly, it's fun.

I was privileged to work with an extremely talented group of writers and animators who worked with my concepts to create these videos. I identified, hired, and directed a broad range of musicians who took our songs and recorded them brilliantly. It was a pretty excellent experience.
